Bike Fitting

A Bike Fitting is an assessment that adjusts your bicycle to match your body’s structure, flexibility, and riding goals. Using movement observation and measurements, a trained specialist evaluates saddle height and position, handlebar reach and drop, cleat placement, and overall posture on the bike. The goal is to improve comfort, efficiency, and power transfer while reducing strain on joints and soft tissues.

Based on the findings, your bike will be adjusted and you’ll receive recommendations for positioning, technique, and sometimes equipment choices (such as saddle style or stem length). A proper fit helps prevent common cycling pains like knee, hip, neck, hand, and lower back discomfort while allowing you to ride longer and more efficiently.

How do I know I should get a Bike Fitting?

You may benefit from a bike fitting if you experience numbness, saddle discomfort, knee pain, or back/neck tightness while riding. It’s also recommended when buying a new bike, increasing training volume, preparing for a long event, or if you feel like you’re working harder than you should for your speed.

What should I bring to a Bike Fitting?

Please bring your bike, cycling shoes, and any gear you normally ride with (helmet, shorts, pedals, orthotics if used). Wearing your typical cycling clothing helps ensure the adjustments reflect your real riding position and conditions.

How much does a Bike Fitting cost?

Part I of a Bike Fit is a 45-minute session ($135) whereby your therapist will assess your imbalance, past injuries and any other issues there might be involved with cycling. This is done so that we are better able to modify and/or adjust your cycling set-up in the most ergonomic and performance oriented way.

Part II of a Bike Fit is a 60-minute session ($170) and is where the magic happens. Here, you'll hop on the bike and your therapist will collaboratively help you find the best set-up for your bike.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession focused on restoring movement, reducing pain, and improving physical function after injury, surgery, or chronic conditions. A physiotherapist assesses how your joints, muscles, and nervous system work together, then creates a treatment plan using hands-on therapy, guided exercise, education, and movement retraining to address the root cause of the problem.

Treatment may include mobility work, strengthening programs, posture correction, balance training, and return-to-activity planning. Physiotherapy is suitable for sports injuries, workplace strains, post-surgical rehab, and everyday aches — helping you move confidently and prevent future issues.

When should I see a Physiotherapist?

Traditionally, Physiotherapy is for those struggling with pain, recurring injuries, stiffness or anything that limits daily activities. Weakness after an injury or difficulty returning to sport or exercise. You don't however have to wait until injury to see a Physiotherapist! Oftentimes, pre-emptive assessment and treatment can help identify and correct imbalances long before they become problems!

Does Physiotherapy hurt?

Physiotherapy should not feel harmful, but some treatments can feel challenging — often described as a “good discomfort” as stiff or weak areas are worked on. Exercises and hands-on techniques are carefully progressed to stay within a tolerable range, and your physiotherapist will adjust based on your feedback.

You may experience mild soreness for 24–48 hours afterward, especially early in treatment, similar to post-exercise soreness. Sharp or worsening pain is not expected, and you should always let your therapist know so the plan can be modified.

How much does Physiotherapy cost?

A 30-minute Physiotherapy session is $105, a 45-minute session is $130 and a 60-minute session is $170.
